Celtics Dominate Warriors, Take 3-0 Lead in NBA Finals

Massive Performances from Boston's Star Tandem

The Boston Celtics are one step closer to their 18th NBA championship after a dominant 116-99 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night. Star wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the charge for the Celtics, combining for 73 points and setting an NBA Finals record for the highest-scoring tandem since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in 1993. Tatum scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Brown exploded for a playoff career-high 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field.

Dominance in the Paint

In addition to their offensive firepower, the Celtics also dominated the Warriors in the paint, outscoring them 52-26. Robert Williams III and Al Horford were particularly effective, combining for 23 rebounds and 7 blocks. The Celtics' defense also shut down the Warriors' three-point shooting, holding them to just 25% from beyond the arc.

The series now shifts to Boston for Game 4 on Friday night, where the Celtics will have the chance to take a commanding 3-1 lead. The Warriors, meanwhile, will need to find a way to turn things around quickly if they want to avoid falling into a deep hole.
